There is a lot to be told about Omar Chkhaidze - a man, an artist... I shall try to say the most important things, to my understanding. Omar Chkhaidze is an outstanding artist of our times. I am saying that not only because I know this man well and love him, and not because, once seeing his artwork, I opened a gallery in Moscow, where I exhibit his works. No. He is a man of genius because, from the very beginning of his road in art, since 1960’s, he painted the new. He has never re-painted old masters in a new stylistics. He has always created novelty. Omar has originated his unique style, his unforgettable painting technique. His canvases irradiate clean energy, light and love, the love that fills his heart, comprehensive love for everything that exists.

Omar Chkhaidze is an enlightened person. He exists not only and not so much really in our world, our dimension. His world is the Light, though the Light not in the ordinary, physical sense, but in the spiritual, metaphysical sense. He really sees this Light, he lives in this Light, and he’s been painting this Light for 50 years now. This is his reality, the reality that is born in the unity of soul and mentality. That is why he considers himself realist in painting. Omar has created the new aesthetics – the aesthetics of the Light. He showed how the Light can be transformed into color; therefore color on his canvases is vivid, animated. Nobody has painted light in this way. So, we may safely say that Omar Chkhaidze stands at the backgrounds of the new paradigm formation in art. He has opened up the door into the art of the 3d millennium.

And it is true that now, in the new age, a completely different energy is coming down to our Earth. This energy is radically changing man’s consciousness. The planet’s spiritual leaders – writers, musicians, painters – all those who are capable of getting information from above, carry it to the people by means of their artwork. Omar’s new canvases in which he paints clear white Light, are full of sacral sense. They carry awakening and enlightenment.

Generally, Omar is a painter whose art is not limited by only space and time. It has a really cosmic scale, and he, as a man of the Universe, is completely aware of his mission on Earth – to carry the Light and Love.
